Frequently Asked Questions
How frequently will we meet?
I typically recommend we meet once a week for the first 2-3 weeks so that we can get to know each other. However, I know sometimes this may not be possible. In our first session, we can discuss what frequency may be best for you (weekly, biweekly, monthly). If at any point your symptoms intensify or new challenges come up, I may recommend meeting more frequently to provide additional support.
How does telehealth work?
I use Jane, a secure and HIPAA-compliant platform designed for healthcare. It keeps your information private and makes it easy for us to meet online! You’ll get a link to join your session - no apps or downloads needed. You’ll simply be prompted to create a log in and you can connect from your phone, tablet, or computer.
Which insurances do you accept?
At this time, I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (out of state plans will need to be verified), Tufts Health Plan, United Healthcare, and Harvard Pilgrim.
If you do not see your insurance listed, but you are interested in working with me - send me a message anyway! I could be in the process of getting credentialed with your insurance and can add you to my waitlist.
How much does it cost for a session if you don’t accept my insurance?
Our first 15 minute consult is free!
Individual therapy fees can be found here
Couples therapy fees can be found here
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, HSA/FSA cards, Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Debit Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
I have a limited number of sliding scale openings to help make therapy more affordable. If you’d like to learn more, please reach out at any time!
Do you only see adults?
While I primarily work with adults, I also really enjoy supporting teens and have years of experience working with them in both individual and group settings. If you know a teen who might benefit from therapy and think we’d be a good fit, I’m happy to consult further!
